Asia's premier annual fashion showcase, Centrestage, is set to return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 2 to 5, marking its landmark eleventh consecutive edition. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, the four-day event will host approximately 270 designer brands hailing from 24 countries and regions. The platform continues to function as a vital commercial nexus for international textile manufacturers, retail buyers, and design houses seeking to expand their market reach across Asian economies.
Spotlight on streetwear culture and digital influence
Reflecting shifts in modern consumer preferences toward individual expression, the upcoming showcase will debut a specialized Hype pavilion designed to harness key opinion leader influence and the burgeoning streetwear segment. Smilely Lam, Associate Executive Director, HKTDC, emphasizes, leveraging regional trade networks helps regional apparel brands secure critical overseas contracts. Alongside more than 30 dynamic runway presentations, including an opening solo show by Kit Wan Studios, the exhibition integrates specialized zones focusing on contemporary design, sustainable production methods, and diverse lifestyle accessories to drive high-value textile commerce.
