In a strategic effort to bridge technical manufacturing with downstream retail engagement, Alok Industries’ Home Textiles Division will debut a new retail architecture at its 105 Madison Avenue showroom during the Fall 2026 New York Home Fashions Market Week (September 14–17).
Developed in partnership with strategic design consultancy Studio Heritage Living (SHL), the initiative restructures traditional sleep aisle merchandising into an integrated, consumer-centric buying environment spanning bedding and bath categories. The concept merges product engineering, packaging, and in-store positioning to streamline consumer navigation and elevate sales performance for North American volume retail partners. "We are advancing beyond material innovation to offer structural retail frameworks that clarify product storytelling and improve commercial outcomes," stated Biji Chacko, Group Chief Operating Officer at Alok Industries.
Transitioning from manufacturing scale to commercial execution
This merchandising shift emerges as global home textile suppliers face pressure to differentiate beyond price in high-density retail channels. By aligning visual display formats with buyer psychology, the framework addresses chronic floor bottlenecks such as fragmented product presentation and category clutter. Disha Shah, Founder, Studio Heritage Living notes, unifying packaging design, merchandising structure, and product strategy enables retail partners to achieve higher revenue density per square foot while simplifying purchasing decisions on the shop floor.
Integrated textile manufacturing profile
