Havng over 35 years of commercial executive experience spanning executive leadership roles at Balmain, Valentino, Bally, and Diesel, Piombini,transitions from his strategic advisory role on the Canada Goose International board. His appointment directly addresses the performance luxury brand’s agenda to deepen direct-to-consumer (DTC) store productivity, optimize international wholesale channels, and navigate European market complexities.
Driving margin expansion amid category diversification
The board enhancement coincides with Canada Goose posting a 13 per cent Y-o-Y revenue increase for fiscal 2026, anchored by an 8 per cent lift in DTC comparable store sales. While macroeconomic volatility in global luxury retail poses ongoing headwinds, the Toronto-based company is prioritizing category diversification - scaling year-round apparel and footwear alongside core heavyweight outerwear.
