The conclusion of Momad’s first-ever July edition at IFEMA Madrid marks a strategic shift in European apparel and textile trade logistics. By moving its traditional autumn sourcing window forward to July 23–25, the international fashion show enabled over 300 exhibiting brands and 7,000 professional buyers to negotiate seasonal procurement earlier in the commercial cycle. This schedule change addresses lingering supply chain lead-time constraints, allowing garment manufacturers and multi-brand retailers to finalize fabric allocations and production runs well ahead of spring delivery deadlines.

Sustainable fabrics and resortwear drive buyer demand

Commercial activity centered on eco-friendly textiles, resort wear, and technical swimwear collections. Participation across the Sustainable Experience zone increased as brands integrated certified organic cotton, recycled synthetic yarn, and low-water dye processes to fulfill tightening European Union eco-design directives. Moving our presentation to July provided crucial runway for raw material sourcing and order fulfillment, noted Julia Martinez, Director - Commercial Operations. Retailers secured inventory early, mitigating mid-season inventory shortfalls across key Mediterranean markets, she added.

A unified fashion showcase

Organized biannually by IFEMA Madrid, Momad operates as Spain's premier trade platform for apparel, footwear, and textile accessories across European and Latin American markets. Established as a unified fashion showcase, the event targets 5 per cent annual visitor growth, backed by stable regional exhibition revenue performance.
