Abt Textilmaschinen is scaling operational trials at its Mönchengladbach Advanced Technology Centre, responding directly to industry data indicating, wet processing accounts for nearly 45 per cent of total mill energy consumption. The 1,200-sq-m installation features commercial-grade Montex lines engineered for technical textiles operating up to 3200C. According to Dr Michael Schmidt, Head-Technology, mill operators are prioritizing immediate resource optimization over capital-intensive replacements.
Quantifiable efficiency gains
Integration of digital spray systems has demonstrated verifiable chemical and water reductions of up to 50 per cent during recent trials for technical filtration substrates. Simultaneously, the installation of advanced heat recovery towers on continuous dyeing ranges yields up to 25 per cent thermal energy savings. Industry analysts note these retrofittable solutions arrive as European textile producers face escalating carbon levies, driving urgent demand for verifiable operational efficiency without compromising fabric tensile integrity or performance standards.
